All About Google

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while still a student Ph.D. at Stanford University. They both hold 16 percent of the company. They make Google a private company on 4 September 1998.
Its main mission is "organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.", And the unofficial slogan is "Do not be evil". In 2006, Google's headquarters moved to Mountain View, California.

Uniqueness Google
1. The name Google was born of an accidentGoogle's history starting from project done by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1996. At that time, both graduate students at Stanford University that collaborate to develop a search engine called BackRub, which is operated using a server on their campus (like past Facebook NIH).
In 1997, Larry and Sergey to change the name BackRub became Googol. "Googol" is the mathematical term for a 1 followed by one hundred zeros. The name is taken to explain the mission of Google as a limitless repository of information on the internet.
However, investors apparently misspelling Googol name into Google, and already write it in check. It makes Brin and Page finally 'stuck' using the name Google for their search engine.
